Please note that SeamountsOnline currently uses names as they are given in the original source – these may have misspellings or no longer be valid taxonomic names if the species has undergone a revision. In the future SeamountsOnline hopes to add synonym information; for now, we recommend that you check the name in which you are interested in ITIS (www.itis.usda.gov) or Species 2000 (www.sp2000.org) to find possible synonyms and new valid names.
