The People of SeamountsOnline This project represents a collaboration between the San
Diego Supercomputer and Scripps Institute of Oceanography, both in La Jolla,
CA. The people involved in the project are: Current staff: · Karen Stocks, the principal investigator, with a leg in both the worlds of oceanography and ecological informatics. · Paul Brewin, a postoctoral research fellow specializing in deep sea ecology · David Stockwell, an information scientist and developer of ecological analyses tools at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. · Lisa Levin, a biological oceanographer in the Marine Life Research Group at Scripps Institute of Oceanography.
Gone but not forgotten: · Elisheba Spiller, an environmental systems student at UCSD, worked on data entry into SeamountsOnline · John Lin, a computer science major student at UCSD developed the website. ·
Megan
Williams, an environmental science major at UCSD, was in charge of data acquisition
and entry until her graduation in Spring of 2002. Her talents will be missed. |
