· Seamount Report Available. The Fisheries Centre at the University of British Columbia has published a Fisheries Centre Research report devoted to seamounts, which includes two chapters related to SeamountsOnline. It is available online here.

· Book on Seamounts in progress. In May 2005, Karen Stocks attended a meeting in the Azores as one of many authors working on a book about seamount fisheries and ecology to be published by Blackwell's Scientific. Watch here for further information.

· Paul Brewin joins the team. In January 2005, Paul Brewin joined the Seamount group at UCSD as a postdoctoral researcher. He will be working on analyzing data in SeamountsOnline.

News from other seamount programs and activities

· CoML Seamount program has launched. The Census of Marine Life has funded an nternational seamount program. Malcolm Clark at NIWA in New Zealand is leading the effort, which will work to coordinate and catalyze seamount sampling and data analysis internationally. A website will be available shortly
